Holy shit. I’m from Italy, and I’m LAUGH CRYING. This is really accurate as to what Italian television looked like 20 years ago. This is pure 90s RAI realness, although it wouldn’t have have had a black background but some basic green screen bg.

Also... “MI DISPIACE, QUANTI FAGIOLI CI SONO NEL BICCHIERE” is actually a sentence with a structure and it kind of makes sense in a way, although of course the meaning is “how many beans are in the glass”, I wonder if it was intentional or if Fred just put together a bunch of words.

I can’t believe this. Usually when Americans do impressions of Italians it gets offensive real fast but I just cannot be mad at Bill Hader. Plus, tv hosts in Italy usually really are unprepared or un equipped to deal with international guests in a serious and professional way and more than funny it is really embarrassing, so... that IS tragically accurate. Anyway loved this. Bless.
