wow, had to slow it down to .25 speed just to be sure I was seeing him use a impact driver to install spark plugs, INTO A FRICKIN LAMBO!!! Dude, I was pretty in to your vids, until then. People are going to watch this and learn the absolute wrong way to do things, and I'm not even halfway through. Now it's just a train wreck.

The letters in Champion plug part numbers are important when looking at compatability charts. R usually means RESISTOR. The other letters and numbers are code for heat range, reach etc. Example Campion Ra6yc = NGK dpR8ea9

Champion is a common OEM plug in euro cars and bikes. The plating on more expensive sparkplugs doesn't really matter if you're following automobile manufacturer recommended service intervals.

A bit of silicon.spray before pulling on coil packs, a dab of dielectric before reinstall helps to protect those really expensive coil packs.

Please use a plug gap tool...

                    According to K&N:
"K&N filters don't like compressed air". You're supposed to clean by "gently tapping frame to loosen dirt, soak with K&N spray cleaner, rinse with water, let air dry, lightly reoil with K&N spray oil".

It looks like a large wrench could be used on the oil drain to hold it steady while you break the drain plug loose.

Of course you can change it yourself if you have a shop/garage with a lift, an oil catch can and the neccessary tools. Even if you have money you may not have all of those handy, but yes, even a Murci is still just a car like any other. The price tag on service on these is a joke. Its like 30% work and material and 70% extra for the "expensive car fee".

What happens when you don't gap the spark plugs? I don't remember doing that when I installed some iridiums in my 944, what would be different if you forget to do it?

Here's something I used to do on my street race cars. I would wait for a dark night and position my car away from any light. I would wait until my eyes got max open and then start my engine and look at the plug wires. I was looking for spark leaks to ground. It's amazing what you might see. I was looking at my 63 Vette with pretty new Delco plug wires and there was a little lightning bolt going from a wire to a heater hose. With old wires you can have a light show all over the place and that's not good.

Old sparkplugs will also have wear, in the form of *very slowly* smelting the iron "arm" away, cause to far a gab. This will put the ignition system under stress and in bad cases cause bad ignition of the fuel = loss of power. But we're talking 150-200.000km (90-140,000 miles) between changes on a regular cars

If gapping knocks off the iridium (or platinum for that matter) they will never withstand the rigors of "sparkplug life". The initial gap should never be trusted.

Some provide bigger/ stronger spark than others. Turbo cars use a "colder" spark than a high compression engine would. Also a different plug is needed for different fuels such as gas, e85, alcohol, methanol etc.
